Jessica & Jossue's Wedding
Today I am over the moon to be sharing about Jessica & Jossue’s romantic wedding. From the beginning, I could tell Jess and Jossue were so perfect for each other. Both with children of their own, their family fit so perfectly together, and I could always feel the joy and love surrounding them and their families. Jessica, an amazing mother, and Jossue, an amazing father, I was so excited and honored to create and execute this dream day they always hoped for.
Now this isn’t to say, J + J had a easy and calm wedding planning process. Jess, if you’re reading this, I’m sure you’re laughing and also happy crying thinking back to our long, fun planning phone calls! There was a lot to do with not a ton of time. They hired me about 2 months prior with still much to plan, and they planned their entire wedding within 6 months (Yes! It’s doable!). When Jess came to me, referred by photography friend XO & Fetti and her matron of honor Claudia, she was a bit frantic. A lot of amazing ideas, but no true direction or plan. That’s where I came in!
Starting at the two-month mark, I assisted the couple with getting back on track, excited, and calm, instead of frantic, for their big day! I assisted with full timeline development, wedding layouts, seating plans, vendor management, their extensive decor list, technical ceremony rehearsal, and so much more! I loved suggesting ideas, such as their petal toss for their ceremony recessional, and giving expert timeline advice for their many formalities. Alleviating all of their worries with our set plans in place, Jess would say,
“I feel way too relaxed, is this normal?” and “You are truly a heaven sent!”
This planning process with Jess and Jossue truly made us so close, and it was an honor to also attend Jess’s bridal shower! It is so special when I can be a part of their excitement and see all the pieces of their experience culminate into this beautiful event we create together.
Now let’s talk about the wedding itself! Hosted at Hartley Botanica in Somis, California, the wedding was a beautiful combination of elegant and lush with greenery galore and waterfalls all around the space. Hartley’s iconic Paliuli Gardens and Lotus Tea Garden were such perfect settings for their reception and cocktail hour for 120 guests. The garden paradise of walkways, waterfalls, fountains, chirping birds, and vine-covered archways are truly unlike any other Southern California venue. Hartley Botanica made for the perfect location for J and J to say, “I do.” A beautiful October evening, romantic and upbeat, wedding colors of white, turquoise, gold and pink, the wedding was all that our bride dreamed of. Everyone had an amazing time and never stopped dancing until closing time. We even extended the night an hour to keep the party goin’!
My absolute favorite part of the day, as many planners might agree, was the final fluff of her gown and veil and sending my bride down the aisle. As I get teary-eyed at most weddings, this one was even more special because of how close I felt with Jess. Helping her down the aisle and helping her feel so confident in her special day were everything to me.
