Since I was about seven years old, I knew I wanted to be a business owner and entrepreneur (even though I did not know what an entrepreneur was at that time). My dad had built my sister and I a small playhouse in our backyard, and I decided to turn it into a little shop. I sold and traded a variety of items, and I did make-up and nails for my friends and family. I had my sister and friends “working” for me, and working in my shop was my favorite playtime activity.

Now, looking back on this experience, I remember why I am so drawn to a career that I love. From such a young age, I knew I could do anything I set my mind to and was passionate about. From around my sophomore year of high school, I knew I wanted to be a wedding and event planner and own my own business. Since then, I have been so motivated to become successful in that industry, doing anything I could to gain experience and learn as much as I possibly could. Along with getting a business degree, my internship, job and collaboration opportunities have been so helpful with my development as a wedding planner.

With these experiences, I truly believe that anyone can do anything they set their mind to. I hope to inspire those of all ages who are passionate about something, big or small. It is never too late to go after something you love to do. Chase it, and never lose sight of it. It will be worth it in the end when work will not feel like work, I promise.

Love always,
